Plain cheeseburger--no burger

This kid is ALMOST as picky of an eater as her dad.

At McDonald's, I ordered her a plain cheeseburger with no meat.
She loved it.

Most of all she:

Ice Castles -- Midway, UT

These are just a few shots of the ice formations.  A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!!
The piano isn't completely made of ice, but the cello to the left is.

Pretty cool!  It was beautiful and we did have a great time!! Jayleigh was excited to see the princesses from Frozen.

This is what we do in Utah to amuse ourselves.  Build GIANT snow shapes.  This happens to be up on Highland drive across the street from La Caille.

How I've missed this...

Today was the first day of my 2014 Block party class.  It's been a long time since I have taught anything at the Cotton Shop, and it's so good to be back.  I love chatting with people who share the same passion for quilting as I do.

Here's what I have chosen to do:
It's by one of my sisters and my favorite designers, Amy Bradley.
It's a happy quilt--makes me smile.

I'm just going to start in on the New Year.  No apologies for not posting for 6+ months!!  Oh dear,  I guess I have been slacking...or is it Facebook,  or Pinterest,  or playing with Jayleigh, or...  :)

2013 was a great year,  lots and lots of great memories and fun times.

It's raining, it's pouring

Update!!  I added arm/hand holes and changed the button to a Velcro closure.
Much better!!
(my high school sewing teacher would be SO proud!)

While Debbie was here visiting, we went to a couple of fabric stores.  When we saw the sample hanging of this poncho, we knew Jayleigh had to have one.  So...
the outside is laminated fabric and the inside is flannel!  I think I'm going to change the button and buttonhole to Velcro.  And I'm going to put slits in it so her hands can come through the poncho.
Cute, huh????
