um...Crochet???

In an effort to learn to make these...

I had to teach myself to crochet. So, here's my attempts.  HA!  I thought I better try something that I can read the instructions before I bit off more than I could chew with the flowers.

 This was 3 different attempts to figure out a pattern.

 Another attempt at a flower, but not the African flowers that I wanted to make.

 Then I thought that preemie baby "clouches" would be easy.  NOT!

 I thought maybe thicker yarn was going to work better.  NOT!!

 Then...I think I have found one that I can make and actually donate to a

hospital for the babies.

 This one is for a larger baby... not bad, huh?

 And look at me go...this one is my favorite.  I do however wish I'd done a

pink center on the flower. 

But hey,  I've got lots of yarn now...

I know I've got a lot to learn and a long ways to go, but I'm having fun. 

(sorry about the size of the large picture, I can't make it fit right!)

Went to bed last night seeing the street and the grass. 

Woke up to all this WHITE stuff!! 

Woohoo!!

My favorite new friend...

I was working on a project in my craft room, and out of the corner of my eye I saw some movement. When I looked at the movement, this is what I saw. I thought to myself that I hadn't seen this kind of bird before. I grabbed my camera and hoped that I would be able to get a picture before it flew away.

Jayleigh and I went running errands and she wanted to stop and eat inside McDonalds.  So we did...is there somekind of prize for Gramma's who sit in McD's while their grandchildren play on the maze thing???

This yard should be covered in flaky white stuff...it's January 21st for heavens sake.

This has been one of the worst years for NO snow.  Finally today, we got a little of the good ol' white stuff!!
