*****Sydnee*****

Here she is as a puppy. We hand picked her out of the litter of 8 puppies...

Our sweet dog Sydnee passed away on Christmas Eve morning. She got sick Labor Day weekend, and was diagnosed with Diabetes. So, after twice daily shots of Insulin and lots of loving care, she was doing pretty well.

I noticed that she wasn't eating or drinking a few days before Christmas Eve, and she was getting really really thin. So...I took her to the Vet and they tried and tried for 4 - 5 days to "regulate" her. They tried lots of things but nothing seemed to work.

She continued to get worse and the Vet called at 5:45am and left a message that he wasn't sure how long Syd would last if we wanted to come see her. When I got up and listened to the message it was 8:40am. I called to talk to our Vet and Sydnee had been outside for a walk--in the sunshine and snow, but collapsed and was unresponsive.

How do you say good-bye to a sweet loving dog like Sydnee?

We can't.
We miss her.
We love you Sydnee...

THE Dunes...

Dallas and his friends talked me into taking them to the sand dunes yesterday. I have been to the dunes 3 times now, once the weather was perfect, once the weather was OUT OF CONTROL, and once that had snow on the dunes. The kids loaded up dirtbikes and a 4 wheeler, sleds and off we went. Here's a picture of the Sand Mountain. I enjoyed watching them from the warmth of my car!! Oh the things they talk me into doing!!!

Some of my most prized possessions are my nativities. My sister Karen made the ones that are wood--aren't they beautiful? The animal natavity on the bottom is of African animals. I took a picture of the elephant who it Mary, the hippo in the manger is of course baby Jesus and the big Hippo is Joseph. I then took a picture of just the wisemen and shepherd and the king of beasts offering a jewel to the baby. What a wonderful way to celebrate the birth of Jesus and the meaning of the season!! Hope you have a wonderous holiday season... If you click on the collage, it will bring up a larger picture so you can see the details!

OH!!!

Here I am sitting at the craft table and the door bell rings. I get up thinking that I hope it's not my mean and nasty mail-lady. I go to the door, open it and there stands a darling delivery girl. She says I have a delivery for Myrna...I start to tear up and oooo and ahhhhh...here's what she delivered. THANKS KAREN! You made the season for me!!

One more video....

Aren't you glad that I have a video feature? Aren't you happy that I know how to share the videos? Are you overjoyed at the prospect of ANOTHER snowing video? I couldn't resist sending this one. It's from the front door this time, and for those of you who haven't ever had to shovel the glorious white stuff, the noise in the background is my across the street neighbor shoveling... Oh brother, do you think I have lost my mind????

Snow...

It's really snowing today and I wanted to share the beauty of it with those of you that don't get to experience it first hand. Grab yourself some hot chocolate, start singing Frosty the Snowman and enjoy the snow!!

More Basketball

After a full day of Basketball games, Summit Academy 1 team won the championship game. They went undefeated! What fun! I love watching them play basketball and thank heaven for my camera in my face to keep this parent quiet! Dallas is number 32 in the video in case you couldn't tell. I am still learning the video on my camera, but you get the idea!!

Basketball...

Dallas is playing Basketball for the 9th grade Summit team. He seems to enjoy it. I love to take pictures of the game, and I know that it keeps Dallas from having to tell his Mom to stop yelling! With the camera in front of my face, I tend to be a little quieter at the games. It's really a thrill to watch him. I am amazed at his ability to jump. He is really quite good...I'm not being biased or nothin' either! ha! Hope you like the pictures, I am off to another game tomorrow night, and that means MORE pictures!! WooHoo!!

Jayleigh

Jayleigh and I had a sleep over!! I enjoy this little stink SO much. She is hilarious! She is funny, she laughs and you can't help but laugh along.

I have to take millions of pictures while she is here so that I can relive the times we are together over and over again. I just love to squish her, kiss her and hug her cute little body.

Thanksgiving...

Thanksgiving (thăngks-gĭv'ĭng) n.
An act of giving thanks; an expression of gratitude, especially to God.
Today like other days, I am grateful for all the blessings in my life. Big ones, little ones and all those in between. However, today I have to take a moment and share what means THEE most to me. My family.
Kurtis, Tyler, Dallas, added blessings with Kristin and Jayleigh. My wonderful family. The lights of my life, the joy of my joys, the sunshine of my days. Through smiles, tears, good times and challenging times, my family is my greatest blessing.
Happy Thanksgiving to all, may you enjoy the blessings in your life, today and everyday.

My Momma

I was chatting with Melissa aka Leepy today on Facebook and she said that she loved to hold tiny babies. She also mentioned that she sounded like Grandma Guymon. One of my MOST favorite pictures of my Mom is her holding Allyson as a baby. The look on my Mom's face is one of pure joy and how much she loves babies. She taught all of us to love the little ones. What a great lady!!

I miss you terribly Mom.

must've done something right

Kurtis is one handsome kid! Ok, he's not kid anymore, he's a grown man. He is so fun to be around and his smile is contagious. One of the things I enjoy about my boys is when they sit around the kitchen table and talk. I was snapping a few photos for me and wanted to share them with you. I forget what they were even talking about--does that even matter???

Jayleigh

One of the joys in my life is Jayleigh. She just delights me! She is 16 1/2 months old. Her smile is contagious. She has this cute round face that expresses what she feels. I just want to squeeze her, kiss her and laugh with her. The bummer is that I can't get my hands on her, Missouri is just TOO far away. But, Tyler and Kristin do their best to share her with us through the webcam. Thank heaven for that!!

Here are some pictures of her during Halloween. She was a brave little thing to want to dig the guts out of the pumpkin. She just makes my day!!

Oh my goodness...

Dallas' Jr. High had tryouts for a Volleyball Team. Dallas tried out and made the "A" team. They also chose him to be the team captain. I have really enjoyed watching the team, and as usual I have had the camera pasted to my face--(truth be known, it keeps my mouth quiet, I tend to be a loud supporter)-- I am amazed at the talent that Dallas has and his athletic ability. He is really fun to watch, and really fun to cheer for.

I'm new at this

I'm new at this blog posting...not reading as I enjoy reading everyone's elses blogs.
