Oh, Dallas...

Dallas and friends went to the dunes on Saturday to ride. They are the ones that discovered the over-turned 4 wheeler and the body of Congressman Orton. It has been quite the experience for my boy, and I am a proud Momma of one who was able to assist.

He has been reading different accounts of what happened and it is interesting to hear what the media leaves out as far as more details. Congressman Orton was dead at the scene.

This certainly was not something that I would hope for my child to witness, let alone be one of the guys to come upon the scene. But, he was able to keep his wits about him and assist where he could. He helped the medics when they arrived, gathered people and flags to mark a path for emergency people to know where to go, he was able to remain calm on the outside and help.

I love you Dallas, and I'm very proud of you.

The eyes have it~~

Jayleigh played at Gramma's house while the kids went to the sand dunes for Easter weekend. We had LOTS of fun taking pictures and generally hangin' out!!

Oh the things we do for our kids...

Dallas and I the afternoon we flew out to Missouri to help

Tyler pack and move back to Utah...

This is the ONLY suitcase that I packed for Dallas and I!! yup, there is 3 days worth of clothes, make-up, etc in there!!

The moving crew...they had just wrestled with the matress! It was really quite HILARIOUS!

It didn't take long before we were BORED silly!!

Then the FUN began....NOT!!

All in all it was a good trip. No major problems other than putting the dog in the car and he stepped on the keys that were on the front seat and locked himself in there. That was exciting! We had to call a guy from a car dealership in Lyman Wyo. to open the car door.

We are glad to be home, but MORE glad that Tyler, Kristin, Jayleigh and Butter are home!!
