the new man in my life...

I love him, I love him, I love him
and where he goes I'll follow, I'll follow, I'll follow...
He'll always be my true love, my true love, my true love
From now until forever, forever, forever.
Thought you'd like to know I'm in love.

the play kitchen

I had purchased a play kitchen for Jayleigh for last Christmas, and we never got around to having her open it. So, this last time she was here for the weekend, Tyler got it out and put it together.

Jayleigh spent HOURS and HOURS playing with her kitchen. She made all kinds of treats and served them to her dad and me.

side note...We bought a basket of plastic vegetables too, Tyler and I had to struggle to name them all.

A blast from the past

FYI...I have been into vintage/antique type stuff lately...besides that point, Tyler was having some friends over the other night for a BBQ. I had some chips and dip (cottage cheese, cream cheese and celery salt) and wondered what to put them in. AHA!! I remembered THIS when I was putting it away on the new shelves.

Anyone recognize it???? I had to take a picture and share with you!! I have since spray painted the "gold" holder a pomegranite red.

Twirly Skirt

My niece Katie was looking for a twirly skirt tutorial/pattern on the internet, so I started looking to see if I could possibly help her...(anything to keep from decluttering the living room)...
I found a tutorial, and then I had to make one. ;p
We had Jayleigh on Wednesday night and she had to leave on Thursday before I was able to finish it. Hope it fits! The stripe on the left hand side in this picture is actually pink, brown and white.

Do you think I am TOO old to wear this???

From a leftover piece of this... Kurtis made these....
For...
and...
and...
I am SO excited!! Kurtis was able to cut these picture frames out of the leftover bead board. I am going to put sheet metal in the back of the largest one so that I can have a bulletin board in the craft room. Then, the others I will use for pictures or to put some sayings in using my vinyl cutter. It's a happy day!! WOOHOO!

Easter with a Princess...

The only thing that Jayleigh hoped the Easter Bunny would bring her were some flip-flops. They are Tinkerbell ones. She wouldn't put on her shoes even though it was snowing and cold outside!!
Her Easter basket actually has the word Princess on it! I couldn't resist it!!

Jayleigh got to go visit with her other Grandparents after spending the week here at my house. She wanted to wear this new dress that I got her and put an embroidered bunny on it. It was TOO cold to go outside without anything on her legs, so I had some stretchy pants and of course she had to wear her flip-flops. What a kid!!
